The Mixtapes
FAM2ME FRIENDS2ME ME2ME
A set of three mixtapes each containing a playlist of 10 songs which are categorized by memories that I have with my family, friends, and alone that are connected to each specific song. The cover of each mixtape was randomly given a formal, conceptual, and methodical obstruction to follow while designing.

formal obstruction: make it with your body
methodical obstruction: make it futuristically
conceptual obstruction: make it slow
FAM2ME: This mixtape is filled with songs that are connected to memories that I have experienced with members of my family. Some memories very superficial, like driving home from school everyday in middle school my dad would always play some type of rock music, and I have this very vivid memory of him and I hollering the words to "Black Betty” by Spiderbait at the top of our lungs, and others more sentimental like my grandmother always playing Rod Stewart’s version of “Beyond the Sea” every Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner. The inspiration for the whole playlist stemmed from that memory so I really want to include her in the design some how.
formal obstruction: make it hot pink and orange
methodical obstruction: use a blind fold
conceptual obstruction: make it ugly
FRIENDS2ME: This mixtape is filled with songs that are connected to memories that I have experienced with friends. I think my most vivid memory is BELTING the words to “That Should Be Me” by Justin Bieber with one of my high school best friends on our way home from some event, as if Justin Bieber himself would hear us.
formal obstruction: hand drawn type
methodical obstruction: do it sneakily
conceptual obstruction: make it scream
ME2ME: This mixtape is filled with songs that are connected to memories where I was alone, not nescararily in a bad way. Some are songs that I have definitely wept to, but some are just songs that are very sentimental to me, songs that have lyrics that I have really connected with.
