Hotel Tempo
What is Hotel Tempo?
The Hotel Tempo is a collaborative graphic & interior design project I created with my partner Rachel Romano. We were tasked with creating a boutique hotel with a farm-to-fork restaurant in Oxford, Ms. The building is in the square & was originally a Regions Bank.
What was our vision?
To create a hotel that breathes the tempo of Hill Country Blues in its design. Thinking about each community as a unique web of intwined events, people, and places, we decided to focus on Hill Country Blues, as it began in Oxford.
How did we accomplish our goal?
In using the basic elements and unconventional structures of the tempo of Hill Country Blues through out the build and branding of our hotel, we have created a space that breathes HCB.
Twine
What is Twine?
Twine is our farm to fork restaurant located inside of Hotel Tempo.
What was our vision?
We wanted to create a restaurant that reflected our goals for Hotel Tempo.
How did we accomplish our goal?
A restaurant that uses the “local genius” approach to comfort food with a modern twist. A space that is cozy and warm, where a guest can have a fancy cocktail with some of their favorite comfort foods. Providing, quite literally, a little taste of Oxford, MS, with locally found meat, veggies, and recipes.
